Summerfall collects minimal data and only for purposes directly related to product licensing and support. This policy explains what we collect, why we collect it, and how it is used.

Data we collect

When you purchase or use a Summerfall product, we may collect the following information:

• Email address — Used to deliver your license key, order confirmation, and important product updates.
• IP address — Used for license verification and fraud prevention. Your IP is checked against our licensing system to confirm your purchase is being used on an authorized server.
• Hardware identification (HWID) — A hardware fingerprint is collected to tie your license to a specific machine. This prevents unauthorized redistribution of purchased licenses.
• Payment information — Processed entirely by Stripe. We do not store your credit card number, expiration date, or CVV. We only retain a transaction reference for order history.
• Discord user ID — If you contact us through our Discord community for support, we may associate your Discord ID with your purchase for faster assistance.

How your data is used

The data we collect is used exclusively for:

• Delivering purchased products and license keys.
• Verifying that your license is being used on authorized hardware.
• Preventing fraud, piracy, and unauthorized redistribution.
• Providing customer support through our Discord community.
• Sending important updates about products you own (you may opt out of non-essential communications at any time).

Third-party sharing

We do not sell, trade, or share your personal data with any third-party companies, advertisers, or data brokers. The only third-party services we interact with are:

• Stripe — Processes payments. Subject to Stripe’s Privacy Policy.
• Discord — Used as our community and support platform. We do not share your data with Discord beyond what is visible through normal server interaction.

Data retention

We retain your purchase and license data for as long as your license is active. If you request deletion of your data, we will remove personally identifiable information within a reasonable timeframe, though we may retain anonymized transaction records for accounting purposes.

Your rights

You have the right to:

• Request a copy of all data we hold about you.
• Request deletion of your personal data.
• Opt out of non-essential communications.
• Ask questions about how your data is stored and used.

Security

We take reasonable measures to protect your data from unauthorized access, loss, or misuse. License verification data is encrypted in transit and at rest. However, no system is completely secure, and we cannot guarantee absolute security.

Summerfall products are not directed at children under 13. We do not knowingly collect data from anyone under the age of 13. If we become aware that a minor has provided personal data, we will take steps to delete it.

Changes to this policy

We may update this privacy policy from time to time. Any changes will be posted on this page with an updated date. Continued use of our products after changes are posted constitutes acceptance of the revised policy.
